In a tragic incident, three underage cousins ​​including two daughters drowned today while taking a bath in a gurdwara pond in Sher Mohammad village of Jalalabad subdivision. One child, however, managed to save himself.

The deceased were identified as Harpreet Singh (9) from Daroga village, Priya (11) from Sukhera Bodla village and Seerat (10) from Chhote Jandwale Jhuge village in Guruharsahai subdivision of Ferozepur district.

Two sisters of Jasvir Singh with their children had come to meet their brother in the village of Daroga. The incident happened while the family members were busy transplanting paddy in the fields of the nearby village of Sher Mohammad.

Sources said when the children entered the pond, they slipped into the deep water. Three of them drowned on the spot while the fourth child was able to save himself.

The children were taken out of the pond after some time and taken to Jalalabad Civil Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, the survivor, in a video clip, claimed that after he ran away, he told some people in the gurdwara about the incident and asked them to save the others, but no one heeded. his call.
