I’ll do my hands with that too. I recently saw Harriet Westmorland, the manicurist, doing hand massages with the Summer Fridays R + R mask. The oils in the mask left hands so shiny and cuticles so beautiful. It’s a really forgiving manicure process. Any of those face masks that you have, if you have an excess of them, use it on your hands. Rub your hands with them too. I love this little tip from her.
After I got a PRP Facial from Dr Diamond they gave me these collagen sheet masks because your skin gets a little dry afterwards. This is the PuriGenex ionized collagen mask. These are sheet masks that you keep in the fridge and they feel so good on the skin. I’m not really a sheet mask person, but this one was really, really nice, especially after this treatment. I would use it very occasionally, like you have a treatment or your skin is extra, extra dry. I just went to Iceland with my dad on a trip, and they have clay masks there from natural hot springs. It was truly unique. I hadn’t used a clay mask for so long. It was just a fun experiential beauty treatment to do together.
My spot treatment
I love the COSRX acne points. That’s great. I had literally worn one for the past few days. I just put it on in the morning, take it off and put on another in the evening. Where my mask rubs against my skin is usually where I get a rash, so wearing the pimple patch throughout the day acts as a barrier between my skin and the mask. Then the imperfections are no longer irritated by the friction of a fabric on them.
my retinol
I have always used Shani Darden’s Retinol Reform. It’s incredible.
My face oil
We have a brand new facial oil called Heavenly Sixteen because it’s like heaven on your skin. “Sixteen” comes from 16 non-comedogenic vegan oils that we used in our formula. I think a lot of people get nervous about trying facial oils; they are nervous, this could potentially clog your pores or irritate your skin. Using all non-comedogenic oils was important to us, so you might be a little more comfortable using any face oil, especially for the first time. Like all of our products, everything is vegan.
It’s obviously very hydrating, which I love because I have dry skin. It’ll also help plump up fine lines, and it’s also good for barrier support. In the morning, I use it as the last step in my skin care routine before applying the SPF. Evening is the last step in my skin care routine. Think of it as a top coat for your nails, sealing everything in.
My face mist
I love the Item Beauty face mist. I love the spray pattern that comes out of the package.
My FPS
I wear chemical and mineral sunscreens. I love chemicals on my makeup days because I don’t feel like I have a flashback. It also serves as a primer, depending on the consistency of the SPF I’m using. For chemicals, I really like the invisible sunscreen from Supergoop !. It is a beautiful.
For minerals there are so many different brands that I love. Lately I have been using the new Dr. Dennis Gross. I will reapply it during the day as well. I’ll use a little powder puff or Coola’s water mist.
Lip balm
I love Summer Fridays Butter Lip Balm. I’m definitely biased, but this is the best lip balm ever. I love him so much. I feel like a lip balm connoisseur; I have tried so many things. For us, the struggle to formulate this was to make it vegan. With so many lip balms, they contain either beeswax or lanolin to give you that hydration, hydration, and glide. Making it the texture we wanted while still being vegan was quite difficult. But we’re so happy, and people love it because it nourishes the lips but gives you a little shine.
My tools
I use the Celluma light panel and love it. You can use it on acne setting or wrinkle setting. It also has a pain adjustment. I not only use it on my face, neck and chest, but if you have shoulder or knee pain, you can wrap it in different areas of your body. It’s definitely expensive, but when I use it regularly I notice a huge difference. The first time I had a facial and used an LED light, I was like, “Does that matter? And then the next day I was like, ‘Oh my God, my skin is beautiful. I found that a lot of other small home light fixtures didn’t give me the oomph I needed, but this one does. It also forces you to turn off your phone, relax, and enjoy the process.
My treatments
I love lymphatic drainage massages. There’s a girl in LA â her name is Rebecca â she’s amazing. There are days when you feel a little bloated, or maybe it is that time of the month and you are holding a lot of water, or you just traveled, or you are stressed out and you just hold on to more in your body . It is not a miracle; it’s not about losing weight. It’s just for the water and for everything to move in the right direction. It feels really good afterwards, so I will maybe do it once a month.
Besides Shani, I adore Melanie Grant for facials. It is also such a relaxing experience. They do so many massages and they love the oils and the body treatments. Another treatment I recently received was with Dr Diamond in LA, I did a PRP facial. I had never had one before, and it was amazing. The microneedling didn’t really hurt, and I thought it was such an interesting process. I noticed that a few weeks after doing it my skin looked so young.
