Good things come in small packages, as the saying goes, and while that isn’t always true, I can confidently say that it applies to skin care products. While I obviously love plus size products, I have an ongoing love affair with minis – the best way to test a lotion or serum before committing, and the easiest way to get ready. for a rushed trip.
If you’re like me, your skin can get finicky when introducing a new product, and even though sometimes it calms down and looks better than ever (hello Harmony Mask), I’ve definitely been to blame. to have applied a new cream. on my face to wake me up in the morning with three new pimples. (We’ve all been there!)
Binvesting in large-scale projects is a risk
In case you haven’t noticed, skincare doesn’t come cheap, and when it does, the quality usually shows on your face. Most of my favorite products are expensive, and it’s not ideal to shell out a big bank to find out that your new mask actually leaves you dry and scaly. The solution: a mini, of course.
Mini sets are twice as beautiful
The only thing better than testing a small version of a new product is testing a few tiny versions of new products. Many skin care companies feature a selection of their favorite products in mini sets, so you can try out a full range of their offerings and get a good feel for what they are.
Keys Soulcare has just launched several of these options, including its Skin + Soul Starter Kit. With their Golden Cleanser, Harmony Mask, Skin Transformation Cream and Be Luminous Exfoliator, the travel set comes with a full range of options.
These products contain skin nourishing ingredients like bakuchiol, a plant-based alternative to retinol; hojicha powder, a green tea from Japan rich in antioxidants that provides exfoliation without stripping; and Manuka honey, which is deeply hydrating and also full of antioxidants.
Traveling is easier and simpler with minis
Perhaps the best part about minis is that they serve a dual purpose: once you’ve verified that a new product fits your skin, you can easily take the show on the road. The last thing I love to do when planning a trip is pack a bag that I can barely carry, and while I’m not always the lightest, I save space (and weight! ) focusing on my minis for my Dopp kit.
Plus, when I have my miniature go-tos handy, I can keep them in my wash bag and throw them in a gym bag when I start packing – no fuss, no fuss. . This way I can save the deliberation for the closet and avoid the guesswork on my bathroom shelf packaging.
By the way, it goes beyond skincare for the face: I like to keep mini body products in stock and ready for my next trip as well. Keys Soulcare Body + Soul Starter Set, featuring a regenerating body and hand cleanser, sacred body oil and rich, nourishing body cream is a good bet and will ensure your elbows, knees and feet do not dry out during winter travel.
The minis are the cutest
I would be remiss if I did not salute the cute factor of the minis. Everyone knows that beautiful packaging is part of the product – the prettier the bottle, the better the shelf – and there is something especially charming about a small version of a product. If you end up loving it and buy it full size, you can put them together on your shelf and create a mom and baby duo!
Final however on the minis: this is not the case correct apply to skin care. In the launch of the Keys Soulcare minis, they are also offering a trio of votive candles from their Sage + Oat Milk candle – a selection of three of their warm and soothing scented candles that can be scattered around the house or stored in a suitcase to bring. the smell of happiness wherever you go. There’s something so special about being able to have a little candle from home alone for the ride when you’re traveling – and minis make it possible.
