Every Chance Rescue was one i helped start ... It is headed by Jan Fennell and as Dog Listeners we set it up to take in the dogs other rescues wouldnt because of perceived behavioural problems.  We foster and work with the dogs to resolve any 'issues' then when the dogs are rehomed they have a full consultation with a qualified and recommended Dog Listener to ensure they know what to do.  Help is always available as we provide a lifetime back up service whereby owners can contact us as much as they require for further help and advice.  We do not charge for this.  All the dogs are neutered, chipped, and up to date with all vacs.
The screening process and homechecking is stringent because we want to make sure every dog goes to the right home.

I have fostered and rehabilited 2 dogs for ECR who have now been rehomed happilly and succesfully .  Both were going to be PTS for 'aggression' problems   now they and thier owners are settled and content.

If you want to know any more about ECR .. just ask :)

Sounds the ideal situation Carmen.

What a good thing it would be if it was compulsory for all rescues to employ a Dog Listener. I notice that there are rescues that are having many dogs returned in some cases more than once - is this because they are not being accessed properly in the first place ?   :query:

Extremely stressful and dangerous for all concerned

The question is not, can they reason? Nor, can they talk? But rather, can they suffer?
